Persuasion has always been an important part of selling because in order to convince your prospects about your product and why they should buy it, you need to first persuade them into it. There are many different areas of persuasion that you'll be able to explore as you inject it into your ad copywriting, which is why it's always good to use it as a big part of your overall copywriting. When you create persuasive ad copy you minimize your chances of rejection and make it much easier for your prospects to accept your offer positively.

The golden rule of composing persuasive advertising copy is to work hard not to waste the prospect's time and to make sure that you do not waste even one opportunity to convince your prospect to take the action you want him to take. This is exactly why you need to avoid using platitudes--words which don't serve any true purpose and have, for the most part, no impact.

You want your ad copy to stand out for the reader and you want it to create as much impact as it can. So you have to focus primarily on what your products can do for prospects and convey that in words without resorting to a bunch of filler that won't help you at all.

Put plenty of emphasis on your call to action so that your readers will know exactly why they should act right now otherwise you'll never convince them to act at all. Do not think that you are pushing your prospects too far or that they will leave if you ask them to take action right away; you need to make your copy as persuasive as you possibly can and that includes a really strong call to action.

Until you are able to effectively communicate and persuade your prospect every single way, you aren't going to get much of a response.

You also need to make sure that you pay attention to how you organize your advertising copy. You don't want to scare off your prospects as soon as they see your copy, you want them to feel comfortable and relaxed. It's important that they be able to grasp your overall message by scanning your copy and not only by reading each and every word. This can be achieved by writing the content in small blocks and using lots of bullet points. Your main goal is to persuade your prospects and this is a lot easier to do when you segregate your advertising copy in this manner because it makes it easier for your prospects to read. When you create great and persuasive ad copy, you make it a lot easier for people to take the action you want them to take. There's a reason that your prospects may or may not take the action that you want them to take and most of the time this is emotionally driven. Persuasive copy gets them to take action by appealing to their emotional state and making them feel more strongly like moving forward. Proper persuasive ad copy removes all of the initial inhibitions that a reader will experience when reading your copy.
