When you work in Internet Marketing you need to be able to focus on whatever your main goals are (making money, building trust with your audience, getting better leads) and actually put in some real work to make those goals happen. This article will teach you how to build a great to-do list that will help you reach your goals.

List Things You're Not Supposed to Do: A great way to shine a new light on the usual to-do list is including all of the things that you are not supposed to be doing. But how would that help? It will help you stay focused on what needs to be done and stay clear from any distractions. To use one example, let's say that you are in the habit of checking your e-mail all the time; this can be a major distraction and keep you from finishing your to-do list. Try adding "check email twice a day" to your to-do list and then, if you stick to it, cross it off the list at the end of the day. The fact of the matter is that it's easy to get distracted by a lot of things but this is counterproductive and you need to work to keep that at a minimum as often as you can.

Set Your Rest Breaks: When you work for a long time it can be hard on your mental function and energy levels. So if you want to move from one task to another on your to do list, set a rest break after completing each task or a set of tasks so that you're able to revitalize yourself and get back the needed energy to move forward. However, make sure your rest breaks are measured and you don't indulge in them for too long, or else it may affect your overall productivity. Your primary focus here is to reinvigorate yourself once in a while so that you will be able to get through your day and actually finish all of the tasks on your to-do list.

Have a Separate Section to Write Down Your Ideas: It's very common, while you work through the things on your to-do list, that you will get ideas for projects and tasks that will feel urgent enough that you'll be tempted to stop working on your list and work on them instead.

However, you should avoid doing this as it will take you away from your main goal of completing your to-do list. Instead, you should make a separate section in which you can jot down the ideas you come up with and any notes that may accompany them. You will have an easier time here because you'll still have the ideas to work on after you finish your current to-do list. If there is anything that deserves your time and attention as an Internet Marketer it is being able to get as much done as you can as quickly as you can and a good to-do list is the best first step for that.
