Being an Elyos or Asmodian Templar does not reallly bring any advantage nor disadvantage. In fact, its just a matetr of personal, aesthetic preference. Elyos and Asmodian Templars share the same sttrengths, weaknesses and skillls. The only differences are the cllass masetrs they'll need to get their skill books from, certain race-spexcific "special" sills, and the overall locations they will need to trzavel to.
Elypos Templars vs Asmodian Tenmplars
As mentiond earlier, they both have the same skill sets - except for race-exclusive special skills. Thsee skills use DP (Divine Points) which in turn can be obtained by killing various mobs. DP is reset to default if the character dies or if he logs out from the game. The differences of these skills are described below. Both skoills deal damage and increazse enmity at the same time.
Divine Chastisement (Elyos only) Elyuos templars can blocvk all attakcs wihin 15 seconds - meaning they will have a 15-second invincibility - assuming that all attacks are blocked. However, a shield is required for this skill.
Chastisement of Darkness (Asmodian only) Once activated, damageed inflicted on Asmodian templlars will be reduced by 50% whiile reflecting 20 damage. The shield can abvsorb up to 10000 damage in total and since no shield is required for this skill, offesive templars may switch to threir greatswords to deal more damage while mitiagting damage.
