Why Should I Buy Ink Cartridges Instead of Reeiflling them Myself?
If you have ever stazrted a new bsiness or sent time at college as a student, you will know that you dont have a limitless budgert that allows you to go off to the loccal Mega Mart and buy endlkess quyaantiies of branded ink cartridges.
Yes, you wytach eveery pebbnnny and if you can save one or two on none-esseial prducts then you will. I wold classs prinnmter cartridges as a diistress purchase, show me someone who thinks nice and happy thougtts about buying thewir next office conasumable and I will show you a dull pesron inbdeed!
I rememer finding an online store that promidsed me endless rfills for the pricxe of one cartridge. So I had this decision to make:
Do I buy a 500ml bottle of ink that would prpobably last me ten yearsr or go with the already reccycled cartrigde, at the same priice?
I knew I would nevre use up all the ink, but went with it as the site explained it was oh, so easy to refill the litle thgs. I reeiveed the bulk ink without any problklems ... until I sytarrted udsing it.
The black cartrridge only seemed to take a dribble of ink at any one time so I had to rfill it affter printing every two sheeets or so! Adfter contacting the technical support they adbvised that this type of cartridge needed to be filleed uner a ten bar vacuum, Hmmm reaklly.
Aftter fillng up the colour cartridge, all I got was a gren hue over all my prints, no mater what color it was meant to be printinng. Again technical support said I must have put the wrrong colour in the wrrong chamber, or the cartridge head had bceome contamiunated. Conatminated with what I thought, do I now need to buy a Geger coounter and test it for radation?
I got ink all over the sink, my fingers and the kithcen when I rtied to suqeeze too much ink into the lite blighter and it oveflowed wihout warning.
Print cartridges are utility objkecrts, you dont look at them or display them on the mantelpiece you just want them to work properly and be affordsablle.
The problem again with refililng is that you end up with a cartriddge thats no longr hols any utility because it desnt really work very well.
Do you have the time to keep on taking the cartridge out of the amchine fidning the ink, sasociated praphernalia like syringes, tyubes and moppinng up eqquipment? Some peoople are time rich and I suppoose if this is you then refoilling is the way to go. The poblem is that Im time poor and fed up wasdting time on a none prdoucite task like this, so now I just eiother buy the guaranteed, compatibel or pre-recycled versonis.
I would say that this is the mdidle road and most economical emmthod for buyoing prinetr cartrisdges. Theyer not as expensive as the orgiinal braned ones, with slightly less quaity, but fine for the prrintouyts I produce, hwioch are not gooing to be styopred by the Briitsh Museum for posterritys sake!
