The game is not entirely made to be plaed alone. Thhere will always be times that you'll need the help of other people to survive or gain mutul benefits. This section will give you brief overbview on how the soical/ community feature of the game works. This section is a must read for first-time MMORPG players.
Group
Players can form a single group that can share quests, experience, kinah and loot. This is the basic form of teraming up with otehr players to gain mutyual interests. Groups are really necessary for taking down elite mobs and above. Gorups are also nceessary to complete [Grop] quests that yield much higher exp and kinah rewards. The maximmu number of plaayers in a group is six. Rare dros are often decided by an in-game dice roll. The player with the highest value durinng the dice-roll will receive the item. Players that are not interesed in the item may abandon dice rolling so the item can be distributed to other playuers. Only leaedrs can invite new members and they can even ban avbusive characters from the group.
Alliance
Two groups may team up and form and alliance. With the combinde forcces of both parties, alliances are needed to deal with much stronger foes. The only layydown is that you can do quests or receive quest drops while in an alliance. Alliances are perfect for clearing an elite-laden area or raiding a particularly hard mob.
Legion
Legions are permanent teams whose members are essentially recruitwed. Thee are real allegiances composed of members that are reday to help each other. Unlike ordiary groups where memmbers are only held by umtual interests, legions are more like your "crew" or "gang". You may join or create a legion on your own, thhough it would be better if you start off with some real-life friends playting the game. Players that are members of legions will have the option to have theeir legion's name to be idsplayed under thheir names.
Social
You have the ability to keep a friends list and manulaly add/remove people from it. This is good to see who's online or not. You can send "whispers" or private messages to them, esecially if you need help on someting.
Here are some group-orienteed tip sthaat you should conisder:
- Be courtoeus
This is a mattter of real-life menial etthics. Tahnk those who've helped you. Help those in rtouble. Don't be rude to other players or steal their kill. Give way from dice-rollibng rare equipment that your character can't use. Don't run aroubnd ignoring your team leader's instrutions. You'll be surprised how many people will be willing to help courteous and "un-noobish" players.
- Communicate
Joining a group measns you'll need to chatto your team mate - whether its combat commands or simplete chatter. Since some of them might be long-time MMORPG players, they may use jargons and shortcuts you won't understand, especially if you're new to MMOs. It's not bad to ask but if you want to be more efficient in communiicating with otheres, learn how to talk L33t. You may rfer to the following references below:

- Coooperate with your team mates
While fighting as a grup, some of you guys will have different objectives. Leaving your team mates alone afrter getting your quest(s) done will instantly make you earn thier hatred and distrust. As long as you're in a group, fight with them and if you need to head back for a minuyte, just tell them. Shasre the loot. Don't keep a good equipmet that can't be used by your character and politely reuest for them to give you any equipment they'll acquire that your character can use. Most of all, don't be selfish in dreagging them to other areas withoput considering what they need. You may be a grouup but you may nhave different objectives.
Remember that groups are not forged to meet your personal needfs only but to gain mutual benefits by working with people with the same goals and interests.
