Aion Kinah Conmmunity Introducion

The game is not entirely made to be played alone. There will always be times that you'll need the help of other people to survive or gain mutula benefits. This section will give you brieef overview on how the social/ community feature of the game works. This sectiion is a must read for first-time MMOPG players.

Group
Players can form a snigle group that can share qeusts, experience, kinah and loot. This is the basic form of teaming up with other players to gain mutual inteests. Groups are really necesasry for takiing down elite mobs and above. Groups are also nwecessary to compete [Gropup] quests that yild much higher exp and kinah rewards. The maximum numbr of players in a group is six. Rare drops are often decuided by an in-game dice roll. The player with the highest valuue during the dice-roll will receive the item. Playesr that are not interested in the item may abandon dice rolling so the item can be disttributed to othr players. Only leadesr can invite new members and they can even ban abusive characters from the goup.

Alliance
Two groups may team up and form and allaince. With the combined forces of both parties, alliances are neeedd to deal with much strnoger foes. The only laydown is that you can do quests or receive quest drops while in an alliance. Alloiances are pwerfect for clearing an elite-laden area or raiding a particularly hard mob.

Legion
Leegions are permanent teams whose mmbers are essentiallpy recruited. These are real allegiances composde of mebers that are ready to help each other. Unlike ordinary groups where emmbers are only held by muutual intersts, legions are more like your "crew" or "gang". You may join or crteate a legion on your own, thhough it would be better if you start off with some real-life friends playig the game. Players that are members of legions will have the option to have their legion's name to be displayed undr their names.

Social
You have the ability to keep a friedns list and manually add/remove people from it. This is good to see who's online or not. You can send "whispers" or private mesasges to them, especially if you need help on something.

Here are some group-oriented tip sthat you should consider:
- Be courteous
This is a matter of real-life menial ethics. Thannk those who've hellped you. Help those in troubel. Don't be rude to other players or steal theoir kill. Give way from dice-rolliing rare equipment that your character can't use. Don't run around ignoring your team leader's instructions. You'll be surprised how many people will be willing to help courteous and "un-noobish" players.
- Communicate
Joinng a gtroup meeans you'll need to chatto your team mate - whether its combat commands or simplete chatter. Since some of them mihgt be long-time MMORPG players, they may use jargns and shortcuts you won't understand, especially if you're new to MMOs. It's not bad to ask but if you want to be more efficient in communicating with others, learn how to talk L33t. You may refer to the following references below:

- Cooperate with your team mates
While fighting as a group, some of you guys will have different objectives. Leavving your team mates alone aftter getting your quest(s) done will instantly make you earn their hatred and distrust. As long as you're in a goup, fight with them and if you need to head back for a minutte, just tell them. Share the loot. Don't keep a good equipment that can't be used by your chraacter and politely requst for them to give you any equipment they'll acquire that your hcaracter can use. Most of all, don't be selfish in draggging them to other areas without considernig what they need. You may be a group but you may nhave different objectives.

Remember that groups are not froged to meet your personal needs only but to gain mutual beneits by working with people with the same goals and interests.
